Been hearing about this place due to the "super bloom" last year. Was wondering if anyone has ever been? Lot's of dirt roads? 2WD friendly? any info would help, thanks!

Never camped there, but driven through a few times. Many roads are 2wd friendly when dry; I’ve seen Tesla’s there (well, come to think of it, some are AWD, but low clearance) and Priuses. On the other hand, I had to pull a Mazda 3 out of a mudhole. In summary, a beautiful place, can be windy and dusty, hot in summer, and snot-slick mud in the rainy season. Campgrounds have outhouses but no water. Quite a few miles from services including gas stations. Picture taken in Spring ‘17 during a good bloom.

Went out there for the bloom a year or two ago. Easy access, easy hiking trails, lots of people. Rolling hills. Don't remember anything a golf cart would have a problem with. A couple of campgrounds but we didn't use them.

The San Andreas Fault line runs through the center of the park, it's worth a look.

If it's not in bloom it may not be worth it.

Spent a couple weekends there. It's a cool place but pretty far from gas, so if you plan on spending a couple days there exploring you may want to bring some extra. Most all of it was 2wd friendly although there were a couple spots on one of the ridges where 4wd would be needed. If it rains it'll be slick as shit.

Plenty of dispersed camping on the outer edges.

I'll have to dig up some photos from my computer later

Here's some photos. 1st two are from the super bloom last year? or two years ago? Went back 3 weeks later and everything was brown... which are the second 2 photos. The ridge line (last photo) is the one I mentioned - its an unnamed road on the northeastern edge along the Temblor range and it had some steep loose sections I needed to drop down into 4lo to get up.
