I still haven't fixed the fender, hood and roof since the tree fell on my truck. I already have to buy a new hood, new fender and get body work done on the roof. The roof, I got strait enough to get a windshield in, I'm not 100% worried about it being perfect, I'm putting a roof rack anyway. I don't do tin can parts. The difference in price between CAPA galvanized and OEM Toyota fender and hood is negligible. So I'm looking at probably $1,000 in OEM parts. Some body work on the roof, and repaint roof, hood and fender. The clear coat on my OEM fender flairs is also flaking off now. I'm estimating and have set aside $4,000 to repairs. I already did the 2005-2011 to 2012-2015 upgrade, before I spend $4,000 to just fix my 2012-2015 mod, I'm trying to find out how much more it would cost to just do the 3rd gen upgrade?

Unless you do with like a 3” bulge fender no one makes a stock fender for the 2nd gen in the 3rd gen style. Depending how adventures you get. If you’re on instagram check out @tacomas_bodyshop they are in Mexico and do the conversions a lot. I think I saw a you tube video of a guy doing it too

I believe Demello did the early 2nd gen to third gen conversion, maybe stalk his social media.
