If the accident was caused by the wheel getting hit what happened to the differential?

What else might be bent? Axle shaft on the side that got hit, shock mounts, u-bolts, wheel?

I agree the photos show damage, but other than bent shackles and the frame piece that is riveted to the shAckles, everything is aligned.

Toyota made the Tacoma frame really thin so you can bend it back in place.

Looks like it was totaled because it needed a frame, iirc Toyota doesn’t sell the hangers independently of the frame, depending on state laws/insurance company they’ll total the truck for it.
Honestly the rails aren’t that bad, looks like it could easily be pulled back in spec if they can cold straighten and get the lower lip flat/square again. I’d get some aftermarket hangers (offered by a few different vendors) and just get the rails straightened and go on. Make sure that axle isn’t tweaked on the outer flange/spring perch so it doesn’t crab walk down the road.

a breath of reason from Ur comments

    u also mentioned ‘ cold straighten ‘ ............

no less NO HEAT on the frame if an attempt is made

Im an adjuster for an insurance company yes;)
Some companies allow frame replacements, some don’t. Typically the biggest issue is non-matching VINs from using a recycled frame(which may also be tweaked from the accident that made the parts available) or the pure cost of labor to replace an entire frame depending on vehicle value.
