has anyone had a flat w/33's on freeway?

    I dont carry a spare unless im leaving on long trip but I was wondering how tuff are 33? youd have to run over like spike strip or some seroius shit to get a flat? has anyone had a flat on the freeway?

    anti lock brake disable mod, fogtime anytime mod, Leer Topper, all pro plate bumper, toytec 3 inch lift, bfg AT, rims, piaa 5100's, some double din head unit (cant remember), warn 8000 winch, DO sliders, hacked frame to fit full size spare, thule and yakima roof racks
    get a spare bro. even if it is just a used cheap tire. A nail in the right area will cause a flat.

    Any tire can get a flat, no matter the the size. Carry a spare!

    In addition to a spare, a couple of 2x4's are required to get your stock jack high enough to change the tire.

    yeppers, you an fit a 33 spare in the stock location with 5 min. of cutting. You can buy a used tire and rim for 75 bucks. Its not worth not having one.

    The tire size doesn't have anything to do with getting a flat...more plys might help but even then you should never leave home without a spare.

    Although it will mess with your ABS and traction control (if you have it) the stock spare would get you home provided you don't try and use 4WD.

    '08 OR doesn't have a mechanical LSD. Stock spare is fine - may even be beneficial because it is light. You can turn off VSC/traction control by holding down that button for a few seconds.

    There are other ways for a tire to fail in addition to punctures. Air pockets between plies, tread separation...

    Unsafe! A underinflated tire will build up heat and possibly fail, also don't forget the handling issues. Safer to just put a smaller spare on the front.
