Oh yeah you're the guy that charges $85 for $10 in parts. Sorry man I'm not paying that. If I have to get different parts I'll do that. You could let everyone know the correct part to get rather than hiding that information so they're more likely to pay your premium price.

So, you want me to give out details and part numbers out on something I take time away from my family and out of my normal work schedule to build and sell? Something for nothing, basically? Get bent, homeboy. Go beg for free shit elsewhere.

You obviously don't get it. What I charge covers the time to build and test each kit, tooling, jig setups, research, and free 2 day shipping.

I assume you have google, you can absolutely get on Toyota's parts site and order yourself a batch of proper fittings.

The $85 for $10 worth of parts is worth every penny.

This man designed, assembled, and tested a bolt in part that requires no modifications. If you don't want to pay someone for time and work then do that time and work yourself.

    No fear.

For real dude give @Trident904 your sheckles. It's worth every single penny. Yeah it might seem a bit steep but it's one dude doing it in his free time not a giant corporation with endless R&D funding. Admittedly I didn't buy from him since I bought mine from another guy who didn't want his but that was solely because I sat too long and came across this one when Trident had stopped making them for a while and I wasn't sure I'd be able to get my hands on one otherwise. And at the very least don't start lashing out at him for his prices because without him there wouldn't be that thread with a metric fuck ton of info and ideas for you.

It's so embarrassing missing a gear in traffic, or heavens forbid stalling out, it feels like everyone is laughing at you lol.

I didn't lash out. Dude told me "You know you're doing it wrong right?" without any more info on how to do it correctly. Hate people like that. You guys are fine to pay his premium price for the work he did. I prefer to do things myself when I can. I also prefer to help/educate people if I notice there's something I know but they don't, rather than just try to make them seem stupid or inexperienced.

Anyway, here's the OEM Toyota part: 31482-04140
It's about $10 + S&H depending where you order from.

Good luck with that part number. You do realize that is the entire tube, right?

After that disaster, its probably just permanently fused at both ends and ever coming apart or leaking lol

Hahahahahahahaha. Very well could be. There’s been a small handful of folks that got it fine with the non OEM fittings. I replaced quite a few in the first batch of kits I made because they were leaking with the non sleeved tube nuts.

My first kit, No matter how tight I got it, it would leak. Built a new kit, cross thread tightened it, lol, and still leaked.

not necessarily, a clutch can handle every day abuse and still last a long time. Mine doesn't get treated gently with a lot of offroad miles on it but it's made it over 50k so far and still plenty of life left (no signs of slipping)

I mean you could smoke a clutch in one sitting if you just sat there and burnt it with the clutch engaged and gas pedal down all the way. Or like that one dude a few weeks ago that smoked his clutch offroading by riding it the entire time lol.
