The only thing I can figure is with it mounted to the pinch Weld, that takes a lot of leverage away from an impact. But I can't say that for certain.

    A few bolts are different.
There is no way in hell I would want my sliders to be mounted to the frame and the pinch weld with the way these trucks frame/body flex. That is a stupid design.

Okay I take back my initial comments, the way those mount is straight up retarded. Why would they build such nice sliders and mount them like that?

ok so when i get these things i should just scrap there mounting system and build one tthat welds on?

these will break off even from light impact? i don't plan on putting any serious weight onto them just for the stray rock that is tall enough to dent my truck

Put them on. They are going to protect your truck well. They are just not the best protection for heavy impacts.

They do come with a lifetime warranty.

The mounting plates suck. The tubes running from the mounts to the actual slider seem to be fairly small, are not gussetted, and there are only 2 of them. Attaching to anywhere on the body of the truck is also a bad idea. From what i can tell, I would destroy these on the first trip.
I'm curious if they would even hold up to jacking up one side of the truck with a hi-lift.

I'll let you know if they hole up when they get here. I contacted them they said if they cause any damage to the sliders or my truck they will cover everything

There are a few mfrs that offer a running board made to look like a slider.
They usually advise up front to not use it like a slider.

I would like to see them try that I wouldn't take that shit. but they sound trustworthy, and besides I'll be redoing the mounting system myself as i have free materials and welding equipment avalible to me on post.
