I just ordered the round fogs and (for some dumb reason) thought they would just plug right in, but I doubt that's the case. There's no "kit" or brackets or anything on Diode Dynamics' website so... am I in a for a ton of modification once I get these fogs?

A few mods here and there and counting....
The 05-11 brackets are still in production from the last i heard. 12-20 brackets were completed first. You can get creative with the install or located other vendors aftermarket led pod brackets and try to mate it with the SS3 pods.

I modified some brackets from caliraised to fit the ss3 into a 2011. They are currently installed and work great.

Edit: the round bezel won't fit into the bracket unless you notch the lower portion of the bezel. You will have to swap out for a square bezel.

Did you have to modify the caliraised brackets at all to do this with the rectangular pods? Hard to tell from the photo angle but it looks like part of the two ribs on the back of the brackets are missing.
