I would like to use the factory head unit if possible. I know it's XM ready but I would like to stay with my current Sirius subscription. Any tips and needed hardware recommendations would be appreciated.

I just went with the Xm+ best of sirius package.
It had the channels I wanted and was cheaper than buying the sirius stuff to convert it.
I did that in my wife's old Lexus and it was about $400.00 to switch to sirius.
Check TSS if you wish to still do it.
I think they had the module needed for a decent price.

talk with your sales person. mine talked to the dealerships xm rep and they rolled the balance of my sirius plan into the xm that came with the truck. (cancellation fees waved too)
