I bought the SOS lowering kit for the Bilstein 4600 shocks, and it's hard to find the Bilstein 4600 shocks anywhere right now, and at almost every place I checked their back-ordered, but luckily I got the front shocks from CARiD and they only had 5 of them, so I can go ahead with the installation shortly.

I ordered the rear shocks from Shockwarehouse.com, and they're supposed to get them by the end of January, and then I can install them later on.

I purchased a set of Cooper Discoverer HTP II 265/70 R16 tires to replace the almost worn-out Toyo Open Country A/T II's, and I get them installed on 1/31 at Discount Tire, then the installation will be shortly after that. I'll then take my over to a local car dealer who has a really high-tech alignment machine, and I've used them before, and for $99.99 they're going a 4 wheel alignment, and you get a printout of the alignment and what all the wheels were set to.

I installed my SOS Performance 2” front / 3.5” rear lowering kit over the weekend at my friend's shop who has a really nice two-post lift which made the installation a breeze.

To remove the front struts to install the new Bilstein 4600 front shocks, SOS lowering sleeves, and spring perches, I used the same method I used when I installed the 1” leveling spacers I had installed, which is the floor jack method, which is not only quicker than using a spring compressor to disassemble the struts but its also a lot safer.

My friend whose lift I used is a master welder and metal fabricator, and he did an excellent job cutting, modifying, and welding back together the rear muffler hanger bracket to gain plenty of clearance above the leaf spring, and it looks great. I also put the front air dam/spoiler back on as I think is goes great now with the lowered look of the truck.

We have a car dealer in town that has a high-tech alignment machine, and for $99.99 they are going to do a 4-wheel alignment. I’m still waiting on the Bilstein 4600 rear shocks, which I should be getting in a couple of weeks hopefully, and the Hellweg rear sway bar kit is supposed to ship out between 3-4 to 3-14.

I really love the stance of my Tacoma now, and on the ride home it immediately felt less top-heavy, and the ride was very nice, and it’s much easier to get into the cab. So, after I get the rear sway bar kit installed, I and my friend whose I used for the install are going to take through some nice twisty canyon roads we have up here in Northern NV and see how it handles.

But you can get a better priced trim and add those (or even higher quality aftermarkets) for way less than what the Offroad truck costs.

I have an IQ of 172, my mind runs laps around yours. Now I know that's not what you meant by a small mind, but throw any scenario at me where logic is involved that would make this a sensible idea.

It does indeed. Beta tries go after Sigma publicly. Beta realizes he is outclassed by Sigma. Beta tries to seem unphased by posting a gif and making a sophist comment.

    Like, so many.
I’m very much a do what you want guy, and while not my style, I can appreciate a lowered truck, but the OR does seem like an odd platform for that sort of thing.

Most modifications aren't "sensible." Lowering a truck isn't my cup of tea, but it makes more sense to me than a 6" drop bracket lift.

Even a 3" lift isn't "sensible" when most folks could get by at stock height or with a smaller lift.

Maybe all they had on the lot was an OR

But you could have saved money by getting a better priced trim and adding aftermarket parts for way less.
