Has anyone purchased a scooped hood from the dealer?

    If so, I was curious how much you paid. It seems almost impossible to find someone with the same color who is actually willing to get rid of their scooped.

    E-Bay and Amazon can be your friends. Getting a hood from a dealer is not too much trouble as well. Just do a search of most any dealer's website, or the Toyota site for the prices. THEN, add the cost of painting, since some are just primed...

    It cost me $200 extra for the scoop when I had my hood replaced..

    i sold my non scooped hood for$ 400 the bought a new one from dealer for $400 but the scoop trim and clips went up $100

    the dealer i spoke with today told me that they dont "come in superwhite" and would need to be painted. I find that hard to believe.

    I don't mind paying the 3-400 he quoted for the hood at all, but adding on another 2-300 for paint is just too much for me.

    Check out www.paintapart.com. You send them your paint code,they paint new hood. I looked it was $475 plus shipping. Pretty much any part you need they can paint and ship.

    I got an aftermarket one from Keystone for like $250 IIRC and painted it myself, got the scoop from Toyota.
