Has anyone replaced there dash screen with an ipad?

HI, I need hands free communication while driving.
Have been doing a bit of research on Entunes system.
When and what model did the Taco come with a decent quality Entures system ?

then has anyone replaced the stock screen with an ipad?
Is this a completely wacked idea?

what I'm getting at is cars/trucks need hands free communications so people pay better attention to the road. voice text send and receive for sure

From what I understand (very little), people use an aftermarket single din radio with Bluetooth hidden behind the iPad mount and Bluetooth the radio to the iPad, that way toggle controls still work.

Hopefully someone who knows more than me will chime in.
