Google hasn't exactly been great for this search. Just trying to get an idea of what 175K mile motor and 5 speed auto would sell for? Anyone have some real world purchasing/selling advice and not just what you saw on google.

    Thank you!

You tried Kelly Blue Book to ballpark it? Autotrader or Cars.com to get a feeler too for what they are listed for in your area?

I want to sell the motor and trans as I am getting the parts together for an LS3 swap. Not the truck itself.

    No problem.

    1. Considering google is showing $4,500-$6,000 for a new motor, I'm sure more than that. At that point I would turn it into a table haha.

    2. There will be a massive thread with a ton of pics as soon as she goes under the knife.

Check Car-Part.com, they will have motors and transmissions for sale from wrecked vehicles with all different miles. It goes by your zip too so they will find them somewhat local to your area. I would honestly say though unless someone was planning a rebuild or they needed a motor quick, I can't see a motor and trans with that amount of miles being too desirable. But good luck and definitely do a thread on that LS swap.

Technically you want to sell the engine. An engine is a device that provides propulsion. A motor powers moving parts. An electrical motor raises and lowers your windows or causes the HVAC fan to turn. The engine moves the vehicle down the road.
