Has anyone tracked their old vehicle and bought it back?

Hey has anyone on here found their old car they sold back then and bought it back?

I just been missing my old first gen tacoma a lot and I was trying to see if I can see where it went and buy it back if everything goes well. I know this is something thats almost near impossible but it's worth a try. Just wanna hear someone elses story if they've done it

 

Well, I sold my 1997 lx450 for 20k 2 years ago, I just saw it for sale on ih8mud for 27k in Georgia. If you do find your truck for sale, it might be higher than what you sold

thats pretty cool! i was hoping to see my truck listed on offerup or somewhere but no luck lol. hopefully i can find my old tacoma definitely have a lot of memories in that truck. and yeah youre right i might see my truck listed for more than what i sold it for.

 

If it is being currently advertised, you might try googling the VIN.

 

Its crossed my mind. I traded a V6 Rav4 Limited for my Tacoma and all the way to the dealer I was feeling sick about it. Even though it had 12 years and 200K miles under its hood I could have got another 50K miles out of it with some work. I think searching the VIN # (not free) would be the place to start.

 

I honestly know a guy that remarried one of his ex-wives, does that count? I believe she was #2 and then #4 and he's now on #7....

 

Just found the VIN and looked it up one of the in.vin websites says the truck has been released up to auto auction so thats great haha.

When i bought my current tacoma from the dealership, the truck was bought from the same dealership and sold to the same dealership lol.

 

Also would buying an ebay carfax for my old truck be smart??
