It looks like one of the many rebranded ODM tents available from alibaba.

Well, asian market ODMs represent a lot of what we buy here in the US--which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Fit and finish could be an issue, I'd check it out in person before I drop 2k+.

Contact the manufacturer? I like the idea of hardshell RTTs, too. Good luck!

Agree, the specs look similar to what you can find off of alibaba. You might want to consider the GFC superlite....

@DSRunner those are sick but I have a short bed with 12” RCI bed rack so it would stick out about 2ft aft of the tailgate

That one along with the Roofnest Falcon, CVT Mt Hood, etc. are basically all the same but the vendors just put their own twist on theirs. Just check out a review on a Roofnest or CVT as they have been out longer and there’s lots of reviews on them. Also offered in a couple different sizes.

Looks just like the Roofnest Falcon. I had one and sold it. It was comfy and solid but I (and a buddy) had a LOT of issues with water intrusion/leaking etc. Once we fixed them they were fine, but they also retail at like $3400 and appear to be the same exact thing as the osprey.

Yep. The Order was delayed once again, so I canceled my order.

The delays are out of Outer’s hands, but I couldn’t wait any longer for the tent. I had already missed a few trips and couldn’t cancel any additional ones.

Gotcha. I wonder if the company is legit? I haven’t found any true, real reviews on the tent. Thanks.

I have talked to a few folks who have some of their other models of tents and are happy with them. I will say that I have talked to a lot of others that are also waiting for a tent from them.

I have also talked to Outer on the phone and they were very nice. I also received a prompt and full refund from them, so yes they’re legit.

I think they’re just a victim of being a small company starting up during the pandemic and completely unable to control delays caused by their overseas supplier.

I have the Ninja from Desert Armor, pretty much this same thing, and yes just like CVT and Roofnest, Area BFE, etc., they are all from similar manufacturers/distributors originating in China. I have the larger version, but for my family size I'll require something larger (five people including fiancé, kids and myself) But it is quick to set up/take down, does what it needs to do one night at a time. OldSkoolArcher - do you have the contact information for them? I was also told I would have mine but late April abs can’t get in touch with anyone. I’ve emailed and used the text contact but can’t find an actual phone number. Also, did you go with another tent? We are in the same boat you are... sold out soft top to get this one but now we are getting into prime camping with no tent!

The number listed on their FaceBook page is 904-606-6904. I also had good luck messaging them through FaceBook.

I did. I purchased a Free Spirit Recreation Odyssey.

Thanks! I messaged on IG but haven’t tried Facebook! Did you get the Free Spirit yet? Would love to know how you like it. I’m hesitant to order anything else unless I know it is going to come in within a few weeks!
