I was looking for a solution to the 4 cylinder oil filter mess problem other than the zip lock bag trick and I came across this Oil Udder. Looks pretty good from what I can see, but you can't always tell. Anyway I bought one because I have more money than brains and I'll post how well it worked for me when I do my next oil change in about 4K miles... I ordered the 4 inch unit for flexability of use.

Neat little gadget. The 4 cylinder filter is a messy one. I might need to try one of these.

That's neat. I've gotten pretty good at my plastic bag technique though.

Interesting. I've got another car that has a terrible oil filter location and this might work just great. Thanks for posting.

Couldn't you cut off the top of a 2L soda bottle to have the same thing???

    or

Place a funnel under the filter???

Seems like a neat gadget but not really.

I guess you could, but this has a magnet built into it and it sticks to the filter. I have been using the ziplock bag trick and it works but is a pain in the ass. The 2 liter soda bottle is too rigid and a huge pain in the ass.It would require two hands and I'm not as flexible as I used to be. :)

I guess we will see in a few months when I do my next oil change. It is rather expensive for what it is, but I have the money to spare so ... :spending:

I hate oil running into my arm pit.

I will. I don't drive as much as I did when I was a wildcat, but as soon as I get to an oil change I'll post back my thoughts.
