That’s the same winch I used to have that I added controls to! It treated me well.

Right. I've read and heard to go with Synthetic to keep excess weight from screwing up steering and handling.
    Which Bumper are you using?

you should consider a wireless winch controller in place of a permanent incab controller. I recently wired up a Harbor Freight Badlands Wireless Winch controller that retails for 40 bucks and it works flawlessly. Has a range of at least 60 feet out side of the tacoma from my experiences.

The wireless winch controller/antenna is mounted here on the outside of my bumper near the winch solenoid..

I opened up and resealed the controller to make it weather proof before permanently mounting itto the bumper, I also checked all solder connections were good to go while it was open..

Also zipped tied the yel/grn wire in place, in hindsight I should have just shortened the wire..

Here's the size of the wireless remote, just the right size in my opinion..

Next and final thing to do on my winch rebuild project is to add this on/off switch to the controllers..

Not a bad idea, if I hadn’t already spent money on the cab switch prep I would probably do it. In hindsight Im paying more going this route so that’s definitely a good recommendation.

With everything you’ve already done I’m sure that on/off switch will be no problem!
