The BJs and the position of the clock are my only 2 complaints about the truck.

I'm not falling for that old gag. I know I'll get shocked if I try to use the power windows when I am underwater. Just like being lost in the woods, the safer alternative is to just stay put and wait for help! :help:

    OP:
I was looking for some rear upper shock mount brackets earlier today and noticed a lot of the suspension parts, like frames, leaf springs, etc are shown as discontinued on LaGrange and Camelback Toyota sites. No surprise. Big space eaters and low volume. Also I would expect really low profit margin parts like plastic garnishes to be gone soon, if not already, as well as body panels. Storing things like stamping dies and injection molds for periodic low volume runs is not a business model that's going to work for Toyota.

If I can find fork seals for my 20 year old Italian trials motorcycle, I think we're okay on seals and belts for the next 100 years, lol

    fify :D

I already hurt myself goofing off in my back yard, lol

I have fork seals and some fluids on order, so hopefully soon. Had to take it all apart to get the measurements on the seals. Then there's the whole "registering a 20 year old Italian bike in California that was last registered in Idaho in 2006" thing.

Why, am I slurring my words? :D

Nah, just scratched up my legs a bit on the foot pegs because I couldn't be bothered to change into my boots when I got it home. Needed to put put that weedeater around the yard and jump a tree stump.

got so many scars on my shins from my bike trials days. Always wore shin guards except those times I'd make an adjustment, bleed the brakes or whatever, then goof around on the yard to "check the brakes", lol...

Sweet trials bike! You shouldnt have a problem registering it, Ive registered quite a few out of state bikes here, never an issue.

I'm mostly concerned about getting a green sticker. My brother (State OHV law enforcement) said that some DMVs are sticklers for the 3 or C in the 8th position of the VIN (i.e. red sticker), but since it's a 2000, it would be grandfathered in as a green. This doesn't have that, and some DMVs think that means it shouldn't get ANY ohv reg (red or green).

Thats weird, I thought any bike 2003 or older got green sticker...if you have trouble, I registered my bike in arizona (had access to an address there) but I used a 3rd party titling company and they didnt even ask for proof of address.

It's a 2000 so it *shouldn't* be a problem, and it has an Idaho title.

My brother was just saying that there are some DMVs that get all bent out of shape because they think the law is supposed to mean that it should have been a red sticker before 2003 in order to qualify for grandfathering to a green sticker. This Beta wouldn't have qualified (back in 2000) even for a red sticker because it doesn't have the 3 or a C in the VIN.
