Tune to the station you want to save and either press “add new” or long hold the preset button you want to over-write.

I know I’m a weirdo, but I kind of like reading the manuals; usually find out something I didn’t know before.

To be fair, the mini van engine actually in the mini van is great. My wife's Sienna is a frickin' rocket ship.

Yup true. The budget for tuning the Mommy and Daddy haulers was bigger than the BroComa tuning budget...:D

I totally understand. It's not as bad as people are saying. Once you get used to how it drives, you can get up and go if you want to. It's just a little odd getting up to 4000 rpm's before the thing jumps to life. When it does though, hold on!

For all you guys who knock the "mini van" engine, keep in mind, the chevy 350 was used in cars, full sized vans and trucks. The Buick 225 was used in the Electra, and in some Kaiser-era Jeeps. The "Iron Duke" I4 was used in Jeeps, and the Pontiac Fiero. The list goes on...

Engine "sharing" is really nothing new. It is everything behind the fly wheel that affects drivability.

This, this, and this. I have the M/T and I guarantee you I would blow the doors off the OP’s 07. This is a truck and needs to be driven like one. It drives much different than our Highlander which is indeed a “van”. Get those rpms higher and learn how to drive this thing. I’m having a blast with mine. Again, I probably have a slightly different experience since I have the manual.

Drive it like you stole it. I have done this to mine since I drove it off the lot. This thing is supposed to "learn" your driving habits. Okay, then Mr. 3.5 and transmission, you gone learn the hard way. If it breaks, 3/36 they gonna fix it.

Ha! Thanks for the sage advice, broseph!
I have a MT though...but your advice applies in a way. MY "ECT button" is my right foot, pressing firmly down on the far right pedal...

I DID finally got out and take a drive today. I'm no human dyno, but the throttle response and letoff seemed pretty dang linear to me in all but the o/d gears (and who cares there?). At least I couldn't feel much of a curve. Now I'll admit, that could be my lack of knowledge/experience.

Has anyone had a recently born (August 2017 build) TRD Pro with MT on a dyno?

I am wondering if the factory tune is different on the TRD Pro, or maybe newer builds in general.

I can't find anything to dislike about how this thing drives....dammit?

    Wait, that's good.

Nobody seem to care or even notice that GM put a Camaro/ATS "car" engine in the Twins. :notsure:

Minivans were built to haul people and their stuff, pretty much the same as a smaller truck so I'm not sure why people think having that engine is a downgrade.

If you aren't pleased with the truck, consider trading it in. I wouldn't want to be irritated with something I had to use on a daily basis. I've learned to tolerate it over the last two years. I had assumed it was normal for power since I came from a 6 speed 2013 Corvette. After two years though, I'm ready to trade after issues and what you are crying about. The way I see it, you have two options, sell it or keep it. I chose one, you can too, no need to write a thread over it.

I'm certain it wasn't your intent, but that sounds really dickish and unhelpful. Sorry, I'm a lit major. I'll try harder not to critique writing style. I'm sure your intentions were pure.

Still, I can't but feel, had you actually read through the thread, you'd see there are a actually a lot of options for OP besides 1. Sucking it up and 2. Bailing.

In fact, I daresay that the best reason for the existence of TW in general is having a community that can help source ideas that help one enjoy ownership more.

Plus fart jokes, memes, and other shenanigans.
