I own a 2013 extended cab Tacoma with the 15 inch wheels. I love the truck but hate the narrow look of the tires. I know this has probably came up many times but can I go one size more like 225/75R/15 and not mess up ?

I would also like some chrome wheels or hubcaps to make this old man truck look better. Would going to a 225/75 make it look better or maybe even one size larger ? I think this is correct>

The first number is the width of the tread. The second is the width of the side wall. The third is your rim size.

I do understand that if I change wheels I will have to disable the Wireless Tire-Pressure Sensors but really don't care for them anyway. Also the truck is still under warranty so will I mess up the warranty if I upgrade to a different tire than these ugly Dunlop tires ?

    I used this calculator
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/tirecalc.php
and see I will gain some height and hope a different look ? Any tips on this. TP

If you check out the Discount Tire website, they list optional/plus tire sizes that will work on your truck. If you're going to change wheels, there's plenty of options available.

Nothing they are same height as your factory wheels and same bolt pattern, they are off of the Toyota xrunner truck

It actually rides and handles better , also if you have any other questions about our 5 lug trucks your best bet would be clicking on forum list at the upper left and selecting street trucks

Whatever the stock tires were ... 215/70-15 I think.

The stock 15" tire size isn't proportional to the rest of the truck, IMO

I put on 16" Honda Odyssey wheels with LT225/75R16 tires:

I don't know if you can run these without doing the "Black Box" mod. It's a little black steel box behind the fender liner that you remove to fit bigger tires. I removed mine when I put on front mud flaps.
