We were looking to get a new truck for me about a month ago, and I found out about the TRD Pro Tacomas. It was immediately at the top of my want list. Went to a dealer, left them a deposit for a black 6 speed double cab, and was told it would be 8-12 weeks. I was also told they could only order it in black at this point in time. We were on a trip to San Diego and I saw a dealer in Escondido had one sitting on their lot in Inferno, so we made a side trip to take a look at it, and I fell in love. Contacted our dealer and told him to get me an Inferno truck at all costs, didn't care about any other options at that point. I had also recently read some negative reviews about the 6 speed, so an AT wasn't out either. Never heard another word from the dealer. Keep in mind, they had a deposit from us, we had just bought a new 4runner, and sent someone else there to buy a car as well, all within a few weeks time. So I start searching on my own, all over the place. The trucks had all either sold, were optioned way too high, had dealer mark-ups for rarity, or in one case got sold out from underneath me. I finally found one in Dallas that ticked all the boxes, and they got the price down where I wanted it. The sales girl screwed up on her promises though, and I was ready to walk, again. I got $2,000 off sticker, and they delivered the truck from Dallas to Nashville. I got it yesterday, and am happier than I imagined I'd be.

Here are the pics for the TLDR crowd.

Great grill. Reminds me of the early models when TOYOTA said it all. I feel your excitement. In highschool, all I ever wanted was a late 80's model sr5.

Oh I read that whole mess. Mine was mostly tongue in cheek. I actually feel like I got a really good deal at the end of the day, and that's all that matters I guess. Major props to Toyota of Dallas for going above and beyond for me, and standing behind their word.

Lots of people complaining about those tires, but I love them. I've done done moderate to serious off roading with them in previous Jeeps I've owned, and they perform great. The ride is better on this heavier vehicle than it was in my Jeep too, so I can't complain. I think a lot of people run too much air pressure in them too though.
