Hats off to procomp

I have to give it to Procomp and a local shop B&M Auto.

I purchased a set of rims from procomp via B&M about 5 months ago, one rim developed some, what looks like oxidation or just poor finishing on the chrome, I call B&M they ask if they could see the rims. I brought it in and they said they couldn't locate my reciept so he went to look some more, comes back on the phone and says he still can't find it, but he was on the phone with Procomp and they were gonna send me another rim. Thumbs up great service from both.

 

Yeah its not over yet. They said they don't have any rims my size in stock, but they say they will have 1 made and shipped in a week. The good part is that I am dealing with B & M, they will reinstall the rim and tire then have to deal with procomp. So no matter what I should be ok. I let ya'll know how things turn out.

 

Well its not over yet I let them know about the situation and still haven't recieved a call yet. Not worried now because I am still at work. I'll call when I get home and inform them that it isn't just one rim now there are 2 of them. What the hell maybe a bad batch got finished imporperly.

I am offshore at the moment, when I was home I tried to take some pics but because of the location of the defects its not possible. Its similar to rust comming out, it is on the inside of the rim, hardly noticible but you can feel it when washing. When I say inside I mean on the finished side, nearest the underneath of the truck starting out near the center cap.

 

Sounds like you need to put your hat back on....

 

Yeah that ain't no shit. After calling for a few days I finally got the guy that I was dealing with at the local shop, he was having family troubles. He called pro-comp and they have a shit load of these rims on back order all over the country, atleast that is the story they are feeding me, I'll eat it for a while then just keep calling them. I deserve a good rim seeing as how I have paid for 4. Take my time and call the BBB when I deem fit.

 

He called Pro-Comp? I'd follow up and call Pro-Comp on my own and let them know what is going on. Every has problems but the customer is the one that keeps the lights on.

 

Yeah chris I retract all my previous statements that were positive.
Tictacoma, i can't find a number for their buisness, just their retailers. I will contact my guy and get the number from him. Just a heads up, I see on thier site they are still settling these rims, without a notice.

Update:

Today I went to get the new rim installed, yes it finally came in. No charge to me to reinstall. No hassle either. None of this work was done by procomp, only the shipping of the rim to me. The guys at the shop looked over the other 3 rims and said they would return the one they have and try to get procomp to send out 3 more as the others aren't as bad but, still poor for being less than a year old. We'll see how that turns out, hoping to get the 3 new ones as the old ones won't ever be as shiny as the new one.
