Hauling a 2008 R6 and a KTM 300 EXC in a short bed? Is there a load rating for the tailgate?

    I put my Honda VFR in the bed with the rear tire on the tail gate. No issues.

    Some of my bikes, the wheel still sat on the tailgate even on the "long bed," which in reality, is more of a regular bed than long. Now a proper long bed of a full size domestic (8'), no problems.

    Yo, R6 is 400lbs wet. I carry 2 liter bikes (bed is easy to load if your're not handi cap.)

    Tailgate does not like it on 2nd gens.. its held up though.

    Yes, there's always an exception. Dirt bikes were definitely one sell point for the LB to me though. Definitely isn't comparable to a good ol 8' though.

    I know this is an old thread but here is my old 13 X runner on my move from the Bay area to San Diego....Yeah zero Fs were given.
    RC51 and a 500 EXC in the back w/u hauls biggest trailer I could hook on.
