i hauled some tile and bags of thin-set today in my TRD off road3.5. total 550lbs. noticed the lack of power on the 35mi drive home especially on the inclines, then when i entered my subdivision that has speed bumps, took them slow but the rear end bottomed out on the bump stops. glad i do not do tile for a living this was just a DIY home project.

The gearing plus engine tune is responsible for your perceived lack of power. My truck is a Manual and is geared to run higher RPMs and feels very stout.

Did you use ECT? I imagine so. It was like that for towing my trailer with gear in the bed too, this why I went to a AAL.

The speedbumps in your subdivision are of the gnarly type.

Gotta take it slow when you have a load. I would load the bags right over the axle...the tile in front of the bags .
