Anyone haul a, snowmobile in the bed of their Tacoma? I used to haul it in the 5.5' bed of my Ram without issue. I've got a 6 foot bed Tacoma and my only concern is the wheel wells. Anyone make a 4x8 plywood platform to raise the sled lightly to not battle with the wheel wells? How do these trucks handle 500'ish lbs in the bed on a 3-4 hour trip?

    Thanks.

So I ended up building a slide in platform that will raise the sled just above the wheel wells. I've got a few more tweaks to do to make it a little better and it needs a few more coats of paint when the weather warms up but it's getting its maiden voyage today. I have a 2 place clamshell but it's so much nicer not towing a trailer on my 5 hour drive to the snow when it's just me.

    Nice idea.
I load my 146" 600 Backcountry onto the truck, and just ride over a wheelwell with a ski. Remembering to drive the track up on a block of wood to get it off the tailgate to get the ramp off/on is the challenge! I dont have to take sled on truck very often, was gonna do a 12hr road trip with it, i wouldnt hesitate but that deck idea would be better!
