I have not with my tacoma. I did with my 1st gen tundra though. It is much easier to go to a uhaul place and rent a trailer. Uhaul has a steel trailer that is made for motorcycles, much easier to load and unload a heavy bike onto a low trailer than a high bed like a tacoma. But if you have to load into the bed take the seat off the harley put a lifting strap through frame(make sure to take off plastic air deflectors if you have them)and lift bike up with a chainfall, motor hoist, gantry crane then back up truck under bike. I don't know if the plastic on the tacoma tailgate will handle the weight. Even with a 6 foot bed the rear tire is going to be on the tailgate.Instead of taking the chance of damaging the truck and bike I would rent the trailer.$30 trailer rental is cheaper than truck/bike repair.

Not a chance would I try to load a Harley in the back. Trailer is the only way. Nearly 1000lbs up a narrow ramp....and then 500 lbs on the lowered tailgate? Nope.

Well.....I concur in NOT ideal nor easy to haul a large street bike!! I got caught in a real jam where Uhaul screwed me in I had a reservation for a trailer but once in South Carolina to pick up truck and then trailer, none to be had!! I could not spend another day there so made the decision to try and make a BMW k1600 sport touring bike fit on a 5' bed WITHOUT having it bounce on the tailgate for 8+ hours!! I went to Lowes and got a 2 x 8/handsaw to place in the bed. Then I rode it up a short 2 x 8 onto the bed. (Backed into a little slope to cut the rise down getting it in the truck. ) I almost had it go over on me as no one around to assist.

At the end of the day I got it done and back home. I did actually bend a small bottom suspension piece on bike as had to jack it up very slightly to put a wedge under the board to ensure no real weight on tailgate.

Now a dresser is even heavier and cant imagine pushing and pulling on that. My Fatboy would have been similar and just as difficult.

(Pic is back lot of dealership)

I put my KLR in my bed with no issues and even went off-road with it loaded up. That bike with all the accessories only weighs about 500 pounds though.

I've got a Heritage. I debated putting it in the back of my truck once. Decided there was too much that could go wrong

Dude I have a Dyna and there ain't a ramp in the fucking world that would allow it to get into the bed of my truck. Only trucks I'm able to get it into the back of are Rangers and the 1st gen base model tacomas.

There are some ramps that can get them into the back but I've got a short bed and that fat ass on my tailgate makes me nervous. I'd rather just get a single rail trailer personally.

There is no way I'm gonna try to get my Dresser up in my truck. I have some ramps that would probably get it done, but there is too much potential for disaster. Plus with my short bed I think that would be too much weight on the tailgate. The thing weighs like 800 pounds! I'll trailer if I don't want to ride it somewhere. But I'd rather ride, anyway.

    HELL YESSSSS!!!!

I've hauled my KLR and been offroad gently. Even picked up my Africa Twin with my Tacoma! White knuckled that bitch from Santa Barbara home and begged four guys to help me get her off!

I guess the answer to the OP is just how crazy are you ? My bike weighs more than the harley and is 8 inches longer.... Naw.... bad idea !
