If you are looking for a 1 time, plus possible shop trips for repair, just stop the deck behind the wheel wells. Chock it and tie t in place. I hauled my 42" Cub Cadet that way with no trouble.

Should you decide to do more frequent hauling of said mower. Build the deck above the rails. You can store ramps to ease loading under the platform as well as trimmer, stick edger, etc. I would suggest building it with a "curb (2/4)" where you want the front tires/end to stop. Secure it to the rails and you are ready to roll.

Yep, the cutting width is 42". The deck itself would add another 2", give or take. The wheel spacing(axle track) will be less than 42" since the deck is wider to allow you to mow next to objects.

Also consider that some mowers may not have the horsepower/traction to climb ramps into the bed.

We have the 8in wheel version of that. Got it around 2001. We don't use it often, but it has been great. It lives, folded up, in our garage and is less than the depth of the keg fridge next to it including the 2ft tall side panels that I made out of plywood. It's in the background there with the creeper hanging off of it:

Many times, I hauled loads that were well over capacity for short distances.

    Still stock completely capable!
Already a ton of great help and info, but I have a DCSB and honestly get a trailer! We struggle to fit things on the best of days! I considered a elevated bed like others mentioned but just think how steep ur going to be driving up now. Also if you have or go with a lift that makes it even steeper to get up and in .. Get a nice little trailer and then u save your box a little beating as well!

    My .2

    Same crap everyone else got
My craftsman 42 inch fit fine in a 2nd get short bed with the tail gate down. The deck fit behind the wheel wells b/c those are so far forward in the bed. I think the front tires fit in between them but if not they can always just ramp up and sit on them while your deck still has room behind.

Awesome feedback. Thank you. If you have more please let me know. I’m interested in what this would look like or if it’s permanent or removable

I have a 8' x 14' BigTex landscape trailer - best thing ever! I did have a small landscape company on the side ~3 years ago and kept the trailer and 56" Exmark Lazer Z LHP. I use it all the time, my folks use it, friends use it, and we have used it for my FD.

    Get a trailer

I think so. I think the little guy is rated to 1000. But its been a while since I looked at it.

I have a pet project to put my old leaf springs on one and build a little camping trailer.

A walk behind self propelled Honda will do 3/4 acre.

OP where in mass are you? Also you could always just rent a trailer if you only need it once to get it to your house
