So ya I did about a yard worth; I am guessing around 2/3 made it into the truck. Next time I went, I just ordered half a yard.

    Edit:
I ordered a yard or so (it has been a while), but they just seem to fill their front loader bucket and let you go with what sticks if it is close. I really should have brought a tarp, and my net; Good thing the sod was a bit damp and I was just down the road.

I did 3 trips in the last month for mulch. I have a DCLB though so this may not be a huge help. I was able to fit 1.5 yards completely full up to about an inch above the bed rails. Truck did squat a good bit, but dry mulch is about 400-600 pounds per yard, so I wasn't overloaded. The loader had no issues fitting it in the truck, doing so without spillage. They had different bucket sizes. A 1 yard bucket is only like 4' wide for a loader. If it's a bobcat, a 1 yard bucket is longer though.
