have 91 motor in 95 truck engine running problems.HELP!!!!!

    95 Toyota pick 3.0v6
    3.5 lift kit with 35-10.5-15 tires
    I have a 95 Toyota pickup engine blew....bought another engine with 120,000 miles,but its a 91.mechanic is telling me that is not going to work,his reason is that its hydro locking......Can anyone help....I have spent lots of money to have to discard this motor......THANKS....
