Actually he didn't make a blanket statement.

He made a statement that specifies a particular condition in which the tire doesn't perform to his expectations.

Ah yes... now the unzipping of pants to pull out the potentially exaggerated King Schlong.

Mad? It's hard to be mad when I'm laughing at, and mocking, you.

And why all of a sudden are you being so diminutive in your explanation? After puffing the chest out so quickly?

    WOW, opinions in here

OP asked about Grabbers but got all this :p

I have Grabber AT2's on my Tacoma; 2nd owner as another TW member sold them once he upgraded to a LARGER set-up...

These have crawled through NH Class 6 roads, handled all snow storms and when aired down let me enjoy sand pits in the area...:)

Once I find time ,these will be tested in Floridas landscape..

Being LT's they offer a stiffer ride but they also gave me confidence towing a U-Haul 1500 plus miles without a hic-up ;).

If the "TW deal" had not appeared my Tacoma would be on Nitto Terra Grapplers......When these Grabbers do wear out that will be the BIG decision.....

What the fuck are you talking about? I made one sarcastic remark about how he clearly knows what hes talking about while running a set of ATs and these two just go all crazy because I insulted his boyfriend.

I really don't care what tires you retards run. Duratracs are a good budget option up here for people who aren't into serious offroading. Aka you people.

Enjoy your circle jerk, I'm done.

And now you're running away from the actual comment while resorting to the "his boyfriend" retort.

    You're a walking cliche.

Clearly you don't. Melting down, throwing a tantrum and calling the United States a "shit hole country" clearly indicates you're not interested in this tire discussion.

    Cool story, bro

You came first? That was quick.

Wow, this thread got way off topic.

As for the OP's questions, I'll answer as best as I can.

I do not have personal experience with the Duratracs, but I am on my second set of General Grabber AT2s.

    Yes.

I put these on my wife's 2005 Kia Sorento EX 4x4. We live in TX, but travel to NC and CO. We also get a few ice/snow storms in N. TX and the Generals handled it all phenomenally. Primary reason for choosing these tires the first time: low cost, high mileage warranty and severe snow rating. We sold that car with about 10k on the tires and they still looked new.

Primary reason for putting them on my truck: Experience with them on the Kia. I have not been as impressed with this set. However, I went with a larger tire as well (265/70 vs. 265/65). The ones that I have now are 10lbs. heavier per tire than the factory Dunlops. I know that an AT tires is going to be heavier than a highway tire. I didn't think the effect would be as noticeable as it has been. I lost 2.5 mpg, it takes more to get up to speed and i have to press the brakes harder to stop.

I think they are a good tire overall, esp. if you will see any snow. I like them, but I will not put them back on in the same size. I may go back to the factory size and see how I like them.

I'm not looking at the numbers, but if memory servers me, the Grabber AT2 is lighter than the A/T KO. They should provide similar performance since the tread pattern is so similar.
