Seem like no one wants me ending my comments with the word “Aloha” or Thank you or anything?
Not the first time this was mention to me before.

I will try my best to not mention “Aloha”. Or bye or thank you or whatever’s. Writing a letter is different from posting? I think I get it? What is the proper rules for posting at the end? No salutations needed when posting.

Bummer, I kinda liked the Aloha ending to all of Lava Road's posts. A decent and appropriate tag line brother.

You can put it as part of your signature.

That's what I did because someone voiced their opinion about how I ended my replies.

I don't understand why it bothers people so much so that they have to mention it in a reply.

Because it’s Pretentious. If he feels the need to let everyone know at all times that he lives in Hawaii he can just add his location to his card. It’s cool to add it when you enter the thread or leave but when it gets used like an army dude uses over on a walkie-talkie it’s just annoying.

Well I'm not Hawaiian and actually never even visited there. I'm just a white guy of German decent. However does not mean I haven't made an effort to learn a little about other languages or cultures.
Here is more about Aloha I found for you.

Auf Wiedershen. BTW that means "until seeing again."

Getting back to the topic, Being Semi-retired, the rising gas prices is slowly changing my driving habits. I no longer make a trip to town just for one errand. Banking , food shopping, filling gas, combine to one or two trips a week. I have to use my 4x4 Tacoma on the farm, 20+ acres, so I do burn gas, everyday.
And we do have a Toyota Camry which is being use more often.

I long to have acreage, and a Camry wouldn't be so bad either.

Since arriving in my new town I've been making numerous trips a day, even if it's just to drive around and see where things are but I should definitely stop despite the compactness of the area. That being said now that I'm recovering from what seemed like a three week long bout of covid and I'll be returning to work full time, I can start making my twice weekly shopping trips again, or less as needed. I've been sitting on the same tank of fuel for a good while considering all of the driving around I've been doing but I'm hoping I can stretch it from the current 2 weeks a tank (been driving around frequently for 11 days, still have 1/4 left) to 2-4 weeks a tank.

Calling it out is contentious and that's how I felt when it happened to me.

Why was it even a thought to debate the notion in my case? No need to answer that.

That's what I thought about when I saw it happen to someone else.

I spent 4 years on Oahu, assigned to Hickam AFB so I get the OHANA greeting. That's probably why it didn't bother me and I simply read over it.

Mostly electrical shit that nobody cares about.
I literally said we have the cheapest gas in the northern hemisphere. I guess if I were to respond with a more "American" phrase,

    I'm (fuckin') LOVIN IT :oldglory:

    Work in progress...
I wait until my neighbor's are leaving the house, I ask them for a ride to the store. After shopping, I start walking home but I limp badly. So far I have gotten a ride home every time.

What is ridiculous is the fact that people like you refuse to acknowledge that it IS harder to live comfortably now. I have two engineering degrees, work for a Fortune 500 company, and I can’t even afford a fucking house in the city I live in.
