Hawaii -Kona Costco , gas prices was $5.199 per gallon 87 octane.
Down the street the sign on that gas station, posted $5.499.

What you spend today? Consider it a bargain. Because next time you buy anything ? It will be higher in cost!

No real change for me. I'm retired , so I'm home most of the time. Live in a small town, so everything's close by. I might go thru a tank every 2 months.

Its around $2.00 cdn/litre. I think that would be just under $6.00 USD per US gal.

It does change our driving habits, we take the wife’s Crosstrek more. I still DD my truck 40 miles a day, stings a bit. Reminds me of seeing a Corvette driving in January, “I live in Michigan “, that guy can’t afford a Corvette. Gotta pay to play.

My commute is 10min in total, fill up from 1/4 tank every two weeks or so. Same as before I trade my Trax in earlier this year, still rarely use the a/c since this truck and my previous car were the first to have a/c and am used to having no doors or top from my previous daily now project YJ.

Gas has been jumping up a nickel everyday in town. Now over $4.70 a gal for regular. Figured time to redeem my stop&shop go points before loosing most of them tomorrow.
Just came back putting 11 gallons in the truck and nearly 6 more in my gas jug....all for 3.60 a gallon. Still blew $60. :frusty:

Not so much as I still have the same things to accomplish in life. Fortunately I am now working two days a week at home.

I did recently apply for a checking account debit for a local gas station. Saves 30 cents a gallon!

Stay healthy, stay “cool” , except the “changes “ Be glad gas is still available everywhere so far.
I remember the odd and even days for buying gas , due to shortages. Odd and even numbers on the license plates.

Gas was 4 dollars plus back in '08 and that really stung when filling up the boat with premium on a couple of teachers salaries. $4.29 gas (today) is not ideal, but I'm still doing my 1000 mile fishing trip next week (no boat this time). That said, no more ICE-only vehicles in this household. Taking delivery of a Rav4 hybrid next month, which will be hybrid #2 in the house.

One of the best ways to go fishing “ the boats” The outboards burn lots of gas. I use to go out with friends and always chip in for gas. Today I am a shoreline guy. Hitting the 4x4 lava roads to get to our spots.

Enjoy your fishing ! Like any hobbies, especially for us who likes fishing it took our minds off the everyday world. Pure enjoyment.

In our younger years, we will go fishing every weekend. It was our escape from the everyday problems.
It was. “medicine” needed to be taken weekly.

Yep, same here. These higher fuel prices along with everything else going on has a familiar ring to it, or am i just speculating?

Yup, I too remember odd-even gas rationing. My dad knew a guy who owned a gas station and if we showed up at 5:00 a.m. while it was still dark and flashed our headlights from across the street, he would turn the pumps on, keep the lights off, and fill us up. Felt kind of James Bond-ish :) Makes you wonder if we are heading for a wage-price freeze like we had in 1971...

I'm retired so gas prices aren't really an issue for me as it usually takes 1-2 months in between fill ups in my Tacoma . I've even noticed the spike in gas prices hasn't affected the classic car shows either . My local Friday night car show I go to , the car count has been in the 200 - 300 average

Even driving my Camaro the fuel prices aren't that bad as i only put about 20-30 miles per month and having to put 10 gallons of fuel during that time

At $6 a gallon, I went and bought an electric motorcycle. That is my commute vehicle now and the truck sits and waits for fun and tasks.

To be fair, I haven't used them off road yet. I got them in the fall, and there is still a few feet snow at 2500' in the shadows here, so no off road yet.

$2.169 to $2.319 per litre here..
$8.22 to $8.78 per US Gallon.

I filled up Friday at $136 and then did a 300 kms round trip to help my brother-in-law put a canopy on his truck. I love driving my truck... I'll pay to play...

Might pick up a 2WD Ranger, those are probably the most fuel efficient BOF out there.
