I don't actually leave them on with on-coming traffic. If I did people would think there was a freakin freight train coming down the road.

I get people flashing their brights at me all the time. The other day I pulled up to a stop light behind this old guy in a little piece of crap. He proceeded to flip me off... I'm assuming he was trying to tell me to turn my brights off... so I proceeded to give him the full view of my brights. Needless to say he got out of the way of them.
I always get a kick outa people who flash me with their brights... 'cause I love to just let them know what they really look like. ;)

I get flashed a lot also.

When I had a jeep about 5 years ago I remember hearing about something you could install to direct the lights down a little bit to keep from blinding the cars in front of you. Anyone heard of this and can it be done to a taco?

i started getting it all the time after i put my lift on. It's like the lights are shinning right into people's windshields. But i say to hell with it! They will get over it.

I get flashed once in a while. Always on dark country roads where people's eyes have adjusted to the dark. I never get flashed in the city.

Hey what up guys. For those that have the Silver Star...I believe theyre a lot brighter than stock and are those the ones that look kindda bluish? Im asking because i would like to get some SilverStar but i want to know if theyre gonna look different than my fog lights and if they do i would probably change the fog light too so they look kinda the same.

There's an adjustment on the headlights so you can aim them.

haha thought this was a different kind of post!

I get flashed all the time. So i give them a little flash of the hi-beams. lets them know i can light up their world:)

Asked my girlfriend if my headlights are very bright! she said they are super bright up close but not so bad when i drive 30ft or so behind her. I laughed and she asked what was so funny. I said b/c they are stock bulbs and I can only imagine what better ones would do or even HID's. haha

now, who here can do a foot mounted hi-beam switch like my old f-150 had??!

Got stopped by Nevada Highway Patrol in Las Vegas last summer. Officer told me my headlights are extraordinarily bright. He first insisted I came up behind him with my brights on. He then insisted I turn my brights on & off several times while he watched the indicator on my dash. He then told me I must have wrecked the truck at some point or put aftermarket bulbs in. I told him it was stock, just as it left the factory in 2008, which is the case. He finally let me go telling me to get my headlights adjusted or put stock items back in.

Easy to aim down a little bit. Before I adjusted mine they shined right into the car in front of me.

Once adjusted down you can still see fine on low beams and your will notice your high beams actually touch the road.

Just curious as to how many here that are getting flashed by oncoming traffic are using HID's , after reading this thread seems most of you are mature enough & considerate enough to want to know if their lights are blinding people, kinda sad when I see some post saying shit like " If its too bright, too bad they'll get over it." Come on man , don't be a tiny dicked douche bag, with those kinds of attitudes, thats exactly how some of you come off, those bright ass lights don't make you tough & they sure as hell can't back you up when you finally piss off the wrong person & they use your face to remove said offending lights, hey be bright, see at night, I'm all for that, just be an adult about it...Just my $.02....

There is a railway along several of the roads here...the first time i saw a train at night in the middle of nowhere I was entirely confused as to what the hell was driving at me with the amazingly bright lights..

A few weeks later I though it was the train again.. but it was someone with rack lights though.. haaa

I haven't been flashed (yet) but it is an awesome improvement in visibility with the tacoma over my hazy subaru headlights.. could hardly see with them things. Love the taco lights!

this is happening to me alot on my lil 06 base 5lugger. It does appear that the headlights are aimed alittle higher but it could be I'm just not use to having good headlights since I went 16 years in my s-10. The lights really do light up everything, the high beams seem like stadium lights but thats were the real difference is and it seems like they might need to be aimed down some.

The truck only has 47k miles on it so I dont think they have ever been touched.
