Funny you say that, my grandfather was a clock maker, so the whole family has a bunch of clocks the he made or owned after repair. Sometimes they stop working, and the next day they work, and we joke that he came over night and fixed them. Weird.

Anyway, my ghost story is this, now this is no joke, but it happened on Halloween. I'm not kidding, and I have told this story on here before. So anyway, 2 years ago on Halloween, a guy who lives maybe 3-4 houses up from my parents house was helping a neighbor carry stone onto his porch, when all of a sudden he went down. He was unconscious and not breathing. So my parents next door neighbor saw this and ran to get my dad, my dad is a retired firefighter, so he knows CPR. So he runds up and does CPR for maybe 3-4 mins until the first responders and medics get there. They do some more CPR along with a few shocks, and nothing worked and the guy was pronounced dead in the neighbor's who he was helping driveway. Very sad, guy had a couple kids in their teens and a wife. So anyway, this happened late morning, and this is where it gets creep IMO. A couple hours after that happened, my mom was in the basement of there house, doing something on the computer, and smelled a strong oder of what smelled like funeral home flowers, now if you have ever been in a funeral home with alot of flowers, you know what I mean. So she smells it, and not just a wiff, but very strong, almost overwhelming and then it goes away as quickly as it came. So she tells my dad, who I think was doing something in their garage at the time, and he just kinda blows it off as nothing, in the mean time, my mom asks the neighbors if they where cutting any flowers or anything that would cause this, and all said no. So maybe another hour goes by and my dad walks down into the basement, and boom, the smell comes back and very strong. Now my dad's sence of smell is awful, due to years of breathing in god knows what at fires and he was a heavy smoker also. So he tells my mom that he smells it now too, and once again, they ask neighbors, and look around, nothing that would cause that smell. Well after some google searching my mom reads that supposedly that is a "sign" of a spirit passing though somewhere. So as creepy as it sounds, we figured it was like a thank you to my dad for trying to save him. Which was kind of comforting in a way also.

So thats my story, Also creepy that it happend on Halloween day.

My Father was on a ship coming from England just after WWII with his (first) Wife; they had just gotten married.

They were on the ship deck when a man dressed in dark clothing approached my Dad and said his wife is very ill and will pass soon. By the time the ship arrived in Newfoundland she was dead. Strange but true. Dad didn't know him or ever see him again.

Yea I've never seen anything really, just heard stories.
My friend stayed at his friends house for the night and he woke up I guess hearing something and then saw his friends dad in the hallway or something and he went to wake up the friend and soon as he woke him up he said "you saw him did'nt you?". Kinda eerry hehe, apperently his dad died in the house, they say he never tries to scare anyone he just walks around. Crazy, kinda made my hair standup on end.
