Have you guys heard of the 2016 injector issue?

One of my high school students told me that Toyota forgot to install the Johnson Rod Assembly in the new third gen

they are constantly low on blinker fluid.

the power bands get saggy real quick, it comes with the blue power band, yuck

the muffler bearings are complete shit

the spark plug hollow core wire doesn't work on this model

Every engine bay I have seen has the 710 cap put in upside down. They all say 01L, idiots!

The All Wheel Drive belts lose their tension just over 9000 miles

you can't do the cross drilled brake line mod because then the ABS won't work

The engine oil bypass kit seems to work fairly well, but only for about 50 miles

you need a left handed screw driver to intall the lowering kit

For real, though, has anyone tried piston return springs? seems that might help the atkinson cycle out

 

Isn't the 4 litre Atkinson cycle also. Pretty much the same technology, just refined. I'm sure the 2016's are fine. It's a Toyota

 

So far here at my dealer we haven't seen any injector issues on any 2016 V6 models. I will poke around with a few of our master techs and see if they can lend any insight.

I heard it's not a true atkinson cycle. They went to a menstrual cycle mid production. Supposedly the flow is better.

My wife's dealership bought back a V6 tacoma because it had the same injector issues. Truck had less than 200 miles on it.

Yall tried using that Lucas Lion Sperm Fuel Injection Cleaner/Enhancer...? Been getting like 63MPG, nbd! (downhill in neutral, no radio, no climate control on, windows closed, tonneau cover closed, being pulled on a trailer after being freshly waxed).

I'm furious at Toyota, my friend told me that for more torque and MPG you slowly lean out the gas with diesel. Now I need 6 new injectors and pistons, and the dealer won't cover it under warranty... What ever happened to Toyota reliability?????

 

yes a 2016, it was one bank of injectors(cylinders 1,3, and 5) that were malfunctioning so they bought it back. They've had a few other 2016 V6s come in for small issues also, but nothing major like that one. Not deterring me though. As soon as the 2016s become available for employee discount at her dealership, I'm getting one.
