Thanks for all of your help.

I don't think the seller was doing anything shady, when I bought the rims, the boxes were sealed, and they said CB -108.1 on them. And the boxes didn't look like they had been opened and resealed.

My only thought is maybe he was sent the wrong rims. I'm going to measure the center bore, I have a feeling they'll come out to smaller than 108...

Damn that’s a mess. If nothing else, let the seller know. See what he says...

Yea, I texted him and asked if he ever tried to mount the wheels, and he said no. He was very nice, and gave me his order information.

The wheels are at my mom's house, since she has a garage, and I live in an apt. I'm going to go over there and measure the center bore today, and I'll contact the company rep, and keep this thread updated also.

I’d imagine if they stand by their product and seeing as they were never mounted they would hopefully help you out, probably at your shipping expense.

I'm sorry but if he sold them to you with the intention that they'd fit on your truck it should be his problem that they are the wrong, wheels, box, order or whatever. I'd be pissed and want my money back.

Yea, this is what I'm hoping for, since it would probably be the easiest resolution. Especially since the company is local, and I would be able to simply drive over to them.

I'm going to work with the company and the seller, and see what resolution we can come up with. Like I said before, and maybe I'm just giving him the benefit of the doubt, but I don't think he was doing anything wrong intentionally. So my first step is to work with the company. The seller seems cooperative, so I'm optimistic that the 3 of us can come to some kind of resolution to this.

Worst case scenario, I'll sell them and make my money back, from someone whose truck they will fit.

Hopefully it will and I'd like to think there was no shady shit going on, just sounds like a lot of leg work for you when you just wanted some rims you assumed would fit on your truck. Good luck and I hope you get it all worked out to your benefit.

Measure the rear not the front

When I looked at the link it's purposely not bored all the way through to fit a smaller center cap.

In your pic when it was mounted was it all wobbly or sitting even on the hub?

On their site there's a chevy 1500 link but it shows a 4runner

    https://www.***********************...yota-tacoma-4runner-fj?variant=12425591390290

I assume you have spline lugnuts not oem to mount.

It won't even sit on the hub, since it can't clear the grease cap.

There's no grease behind the "grease cap". There are bazillions of vehicles out there with no cap over the CV axle nut. Not suggesting that you should throw it away, but I see no purpose for it. If someone knows what it's good for besides keeping dirt off the nut, chime in.

True but should fit just fine without removing it.

So generally Tacoma’s don’t lift enough to clear 2” spacers or larger without some rubbing. What you may find is that if you get 1.5” spacers you will rub. Along with that, you will have to get the AllPro ET lug nuts or barely thread some standard nuts onto the hub. Plus you forfeit the ability to use an impact.

That being said, I just had Shifted industries make me a set of 1” spacers and i am going to try again. This time I’ll use different parts and lugs and studs but it won’t be a quick thing. This is why I say, for simplicity, take them to a machine shop that can do it.

So if took the grease cap off, wouldn't it not sit on the hub properly, since the grease cap and hub are the same diamer, and bore is too small to fit on the grease cap? Or is there not anything under the grease cap, and removing it would make the rotor/hub flush, and allow the wheel to mount?

I’m saying every wheel made to fit with the Tacoma will fit with that cap on. Something is wrong with the bore. Sucks OP, I hope you get it worked out. Don’t remove those caps.

I agree. The original seller was likely sent the wrong wheels maybe due to the wrong markings on the box.

So I just went out and measured the center bore, and it looks like it is 108mm.

So now I'm at a loss... Why the hell aren't these fitting?
