The link he embedded says 106 center bore but his ad says 108 center bore.

When they test fit the wheels did they mount one on the rear of the truck? I guess it would make sense if they fit in the rear no issues that it must call for removal of the dust caps up front.

Yea, it did fit in the rear, actually...

Also, thinking back on it, it seems maybe part of the problem is the depth/height of the dust cap, not really the diameter... Does that make sense that would be a problem?

Sounds like you’d be good to go then if you removed the dust caps up front if they fit perfectly in the rear. I’ve never had aftermarket wheels so I don’t know if that’s typical practice on fitment but it doesn’t sound like it lol.

Is there such a thing as lower profile dust caps?

You are measuring the rear of the wheel which is large enough. It appears that the front of the wheel is much smaller that is the part that is not clearing the dust cap.

These wheels are inappropriate for the Tacoma.

It seems thats where the center bore was measured in a diagram I found online. Should the front be the same diameter? Because it's definitely not.

To properly fit your truck the front has to be the same size for it to fit. It may fit without the dust / grease cover, but you should not have to remove that for it to fit.

    Another question/thought...

My truck has the 18” "upgraded" wheel package. Does that come with a different rotor or hub size?

Nope, hubs are all the same besides 4wd-2wd and 5 lug. All prerunner and 4x4 6 lug use same hub dimensions

You can see the center bore is too small on your wheel.
Our wheels have a much thinner wall thickness between the OD of the center bore and the bolt pattern. They would fit gm.

See how the center bore is a lot closer to the bolt pattern.

There should be markings on the inside of the wheel google them that should give you their true specs.

Curious as to why an unmounted rim has wheel weights? I figure he bought the lot of rims, unboxed one to see how cool it will look on the truck, and came to the conclusion it didn't fit so he passed them on to the next fella to figure out.

Hopefully the company will come out in your favour and do a swap of some sort (due to the incorrect markings on the box)

They probably mounted and balanced the tires, and then realized it didn't fit.

Has the OP got a micrometer and measured the wheel bore yet?

    Yep, thats right.

I havent used a micrometer, but I measured it with a ruler, see my post above. the back of the wheel's center bore does in fact measure 108, but there's a "lip" at the front, which is much smaller diameter, that is preventing the wheel from clearing the dust cap.

Then it wasn't made for a Tacoma.
Maybe it works with out the dust cap
maybe you can have it machined
maybe you can return them since they don't fit

    maybe

Does your dust cap look the same as the one in the 2nd post? It looks like there is a decent "step" to the dust cap in that photo and that might allow it to clear. Or are your rotors too thin and don't help push the wheel a little farther out? Are they stock Toyota rotors?

The picture of the 4Runner on their site looks like the same size opening.

Yea, it does look the same, the hub/dust cover in the 2nd post, and the opening in the pic of the 4runner.

As far as I know, the rotors and hub are stock, and haven't been changed. Though I can't truly discount that possibility, I bought the truck used, there's nothing in the service history that would suggest that the hub or rotor has been changed.
