Having issues with my 06 Taco.

Hey everyone, a few days ago when I got into my Tacoma, the first thing I noticed was that the srs light was on, the horn was not working, and cruise control was not working. So I called Toyota yesterday and they said there's a recall on the spiral cable "clock spring". So no biggy. But today when I got in it, the steering wheel buttons were not working, and the actual radio buttons are not functioning. The volume knob and tune knob are working but that's it. Also when I started it I see the volume constantly decreasing and when I turn it back up it still decreases. And my fan blower only blows on high?!?! I love my taco but it has been giving me issue after issue. Bought it 4 months ago. Any help would be appreciated.

i have not personally, but the dealership I bought it from has. Here's the story, the engine in it was going bad so I took it back to the dealer I bought it from. They had to replace the engine (thank god for the warranty) while this was going on the fan blower only worked on high before I roll it in for the engine repairs. Well I got the truck back and they said it was a bad connection but 2 days after I got it blowers doing the same thing again but also the radio buttons are not working

 

If the engine replacement still under warranty, I'd go back. Sounds like a bad connection somewhere, and they were the last ones to mess with the wiring.

 

Item # 1 - Get the recall done. This will take care of your stereo issue and the SRS Light.

Item # 2 - Get the blower resistor pack and connector replaced.

Both of these are minor known issues.
