I’ve got a supercharged 3.4 liter 4 wheel drive 97 Tacoma extra cab. I’m running the Camburg LT kit with all the specified sized king 2.5 coils and bypass shocks plus king bumps and strapped in the front. The rear I’ve got the deaver under springs, long shackles, strapped and king 2.5 bypass shocks.

So while in “flight” my truck tends to want to nose dive. Constantly coming down hard on the front tires.

Where would you start to trouble shoot something like this?

Is there a traditional “formula” out there to help with this?

Currently have only one light weight spare in the bed and was leaning replace it with two new heavy tires and mounting as far back as possible. Also thinking maybe there needs to be some adjusting to the bypass shocks.

Definitely a problem I don't have.... because I don't fly in my truck too often  Sub'd for the answer though, real curious.

Damn that thing looks like a RC car...sweet.
Are you on the throttle on lift off?
Dont tap the brake in the air.
    ABS working in the air?

Any brakes will pull the nose down.

You ride dirt bikes?, good way to feel the in air effects of brakes and gas.
Not like i am any kind of expert, just had a few toys over the years.
    Thinking out loud.

Could be front's soft too - gotta show someone who knows how to shock tune. Writing down your valving and posting a couple videos of you jumping / hitting bumps will get an overall picture of what your truck needs.

That’s a huge reason why the spares are mounted where they are in above photo, no?

Tires are in rotation upon flight. Stopping that inertia and it will drag the nose to the dirt.

Yeah exactly - he did my sua in that picture I posted. I took a shot of the shackles in back and he didn't think they'd help anything like that.

More weight over the rear axle really helps smooth out performance over deep bumps (whoops).

You're probably at 70/30% weight distribution at best, you'll always nose dive until you equalize the weight better. The further back you can get the weight, the less you'll need to balance it out.

More weight out back (2x full size spares is a good start).

Have you done a proper weight & balance calculation? We certainly do that in aircraft.

I'm going to bring this thread back because I watched the below video the other night. While it's for UTV set up a lot of GOOD information in there can apply to our trucks. So much info that it's made me think about revamping my entire rear set up.

Put two spares in the rear and a jack and gas tank you should be fine :bananadance::bananadance::bananadance::duh::crazy::deadhorse::drunk::broccoli::burnrubber:
