Not sure if i like the protech tool box i just bought off craigslist. It looks huge in the bed of my truck. Takes up more than half of the back window. Almost wish I went with the low pro style. Let me know what you think. I'm suppose to get it powder coated tomorrow but I'm having second thoughts. Help me decide!

I picked this one up down in Aurora off CL for cheap. I'd hold on to it until you can find something lower to the bed sides. Even my box is a little too high for me but I got use to it real quick. I see new ones listed in the PDX area all the time. I'd skip the power coat and just spay it black unless you have a hook up.

The box in my pic was $50 and the two cans of black paint were $11 :anonymous:

Just depends on the quality your looking for. This box is just a BetterBuilt

I put a green scuff pad on it and cleaned it up really good. Then I cleaned it with some alcohol and applied three coats of flat black. That was it!

i might try it ^^^. i guess no harm done because I'm pretty sure I'm gonna powder coat it or sell it. so a little diy attempt doesn't hurt.

That toolbox does not belong on that truck. In fact, I can't think of a truck it would belong on . . . get a black lo-pro box or a chest-style box.

I bought a used UWS chest from an old member here and it is looks great after I rattle canned it. I hate losing the bed space but the box looks great and is huge.
