Agreed, I posted my understanding of it and backed it with my documentation. The OP can for sure believe what he wants!

I also have an authentic VIN, (I got it after the order was accepted...) it is on the sales agreement I have sitting here that I signed after my order was accepted. But ok like I said, believe it of not, no worries! I know what I know and have documentation to back it.

And that's why I would never get a pro...I'd be too tempted to mod it and then all that pro cost is for nothing.

Until the pro has more power, I'll put my modded TRD Offroad against one any day. You made the right choice.

I wouldn't mind the drive back if it was 8 hours or less. A part of me finds it unacceptable that we have to take so much energy and time to get this truck. At this price point they should deliver the truck right onto my driveway!

That would be nice, but It is what it is..............Dealers don't care because if you don't buy it, someone else will.

I'll update this thread once I get an answer from Toyota corporate sometime on Monday. I believe if there was any new policy change regarding orders they would be the first to know and notify my closest dealer to help me "order" one.

Don't count on dealers knowing anything... 1st dealer I went to said "they don't make the PRO in manual transmission." Obviously they do... 2nd dealer I went to said "I can get you a 2019 Pro in Voodoo Blue with no sunroof" You cant get a 2019 PRO without a sunroof... 3rd dealer said "there is no difference between the roof height with or without a sunroof" there absolutely is a different roof height...

Sooo I personally dont put much stock in what the dealer tells me lol... I rely on paperwork as "proof" of sorts...

That is why I ordered one, all the allocated units at the dealerships I was dealing with had the DAI... The "snorkle" is a no go for me.

Come to think of it, the 2020 Tacoma refresh is scheduled to be announced on Feb 7th at the Chicago Auto show.. maybe I should wait for the 2020 TRD Pro?

You chose wisely my friend, I would not want that thing on my truck either.

2020 likely has power seats and probably better lights if nothing else! I wanted a specific color and wasn't sure if MT or that color is even going to be offered in 2020...

I'm looking at the VooDoo blue as well. Such a beauty! Will probably scramble to get 2019 if M/T is gone...

I don't think we will see the death of the Manual just yet, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator has it and I don't think Toyota would want to lose those potential customers.

Agreed 90% chance it will be offered for a few more years... I do believe it is on the way out though :( I am guessing they will likely offer VDB in the OR, Sport, and SR5/SR but again no guarantee...

If I had to give an honest guess I would say when the 4th Gen comes out as it would really make no sense to kill it during the 3rd Gens run as all the development work and crash test certifications have already been paid for.

I picked up a 2019 TRD Pro M/T today for $500 under MSRP (military discount) at Teton Toyota, about 45 min away from where I live in Idaho. They even delivered it to my house for free. Pretty happy with the 3.85% financing too. They have another TRDP in stock but it is A/T. If you are still looking for a TRDP M/T, the next closest dealership to me with a M/T was Mark Miller Toyota in Salt Lake City. They just got two of them in their last shipment of trucks.

Having test driven both, the M/T wins hands down. It would be totally worth the shipping cost to get it home.
