Hey you guys I'm new to this but I would to get some help on why my truck won't start. About two weeks ago my truck would have a tough time going unless I would give it full throttle. At first I thought it was a bad MAF sensor so I went out a bought the sensor cleaner and cleaned it but still my truck would sputter when I started it... could it be a bad fuel pump? Or a bad fuel filter? Just this morning I went out and tried to move it and it won't start anymore.

Hi. I am new to the Forum and am experiencing the same issue with my son's 96 Tacoma xcab 2.7 4wd. Two days ago difficult starting, yesterday no starting at all. Previously my son noted rough idling intermittently and the occasional roughness running down the road. Symptoms of a fuel pump on its' way out but also symptoms of other potential issues as well. I am leaning more towards a faulty fuel pump at this time without doing any diagnostics as I am not hearing the pump cycle at first turn of the ignition key. Also for those in the know, could a faulty/dirty MAF cause the fail on the fuel pump for this year vehicle? Maybe not allowing a signal to the fuel pump? Any advice on this issue would be greatly appreciated. I am planning on getting the truck indoors today so hoping to have something to go on in the near future. Thanks in advance.
