Howzit bruddahs….what is the biggest and widest wheels and tires that you can fit on a stock 03 Tacoma. What about with a 3” lift? Just bought an 03 and looking to do a custom build.

I have love for the Hawaii style yotas. There’s some really nice ones out there. Respect the build!

I wish to wheel this old taco upon Hawaii
What's it going to take to make that possible reality

Just saw this interview by Larry Chen about a 2Jz swapped hawaii style tacoma. Pretty awesome build, really impressed that the dash works perfectly. I don’t think it’s my style but it’s definitely a significant accomplishment.

I can't think of a single reason to have big tires if you're only gonna put them on huge wheels. It's like getting the stock amount of sidewall

I spent 10 days on Kauai in May.

    Rough estimates:

70% of the passenger vehicles on the island were Tacomas.

50% of the Tacomas were 1st gens.

90% of the 1st gens were double cabs.

97% of the 1st gens were that Hawaiian style.

The huge suspension and body lifts are not my style but the mere fact that I was surrounded by 1st gens and Tacomas the whole time just added to the paradise experience.

I lived on Kauai and that is a pretty accurate estimate lol. Toyota is definitely king in Hawaii.

It’s funny to me because I move to OH and everyone is driving around in Ford and Chevy trucks and I rarely see a Toyota here. In Hawaii it’s rare to see those trucks.
