Yo, Maui! How's it? Crossing my fingers that all goes well for a scheduled trip to Maui at the end of February. Can't bring my Tacoma so I'll be renting a Jeep for the week, I'm bringing my backpack to camp around the island. I'm open to any input from locals, I'll be there for 8 days. Ideally I want to dive, fish, snorkel, surf and hike. So far I've looked into
Waianapanapa State Park and Haleakala National Park. Waianapanapa does not allow tent camping right now so I reserved a cabin for a couple of nights, I'll need a permit for Haleakala that's first come first serve. Let me know if you can recommend any other spots while I'm on island.

Haleakala is closed to overnight use. No legal campsites are open right now.
