Couldn’t get a campsite. 4, 5 & 6 was booked. Looks like this is turning into a Saturday day run for me.

7, 8, 9 says it’s closed on the Fri and Sat that weekend. Yeah if he has any slots available that would be cool.

Not looking like I will be able to unless anyone is doing a Monday afternoon run. Sucks that I just switched back to nights and working that weekend.

Looks like everyone is planning for Peacock Flats later this month, anybody going this weekend? (8/23-8/25) I've never been and wanted to go with somebody for the first time if possible. I'm all stock but weather is supposed to be dry so the stock ATs should be okay for main trail I think. I was going to do a day run saturday or sunday. Or if anybody will let me bum onto their camping pass that'd be sick and I could stay Sat night. I can toss in $ toward the camping pass cost.

Kinda late notice I know but just realized I have the time to go.

Might visit you at the camp site on Sunday. Let me know if you need me to bring something up for you.

Actually, knowing you, you’ll probably be break down camp site early and be gone by the time I get there. LOL!

But have an bunch of “military” guys blasting their music next to us at 1:00am.

I’m sure they’re not gonna mind me chopping fire wood at 6 in the morning..

Was a slight “dick” move on my part.... jeep guys. Seems like a couple knew each other, and others just joined in.

One guy came up and apologized in the AM saying that he didn’t know there were people right where we were, or that we weren’t part of the whole group. Still, there WERE people in their group that knew we were there, not part of their group, and if you know that camp sites, there is no way in hell you pass 6 to get to 4 and not see tents and others set up. Play your music till even 12.. then just have some courtesy and turn it down a bit..

Splitting wood at 6:30 with a camp ax getting hit with a hammer, Landon Macnamara in the speakers, and the occasional hitting of my bamboo cooking utensils to knock off stuck food (while cooking breakfast) surely sent the message.

Last night joined them for a little bottle frisbee game. A younger guy commented that he was awakened at 6:20a. Wanted to comment, “eh that’s nothing, I didn’t sleep till past 2”.. lol

Last night was a lot better. Till next time.

I am heading up to Peacock Flats on 11/9-11/2019 (Sat, Sun, leave Mon) if anyone wants to join. Its a long weekend and there are spots left, so get on it! I did some mild exploring last time, but wouldnt mind hitting some of the stuff off the main trail.
