I had First Checking for the last 8 years, they said that is being canceled. I think Totally Free Checking is being left alone.. If I can't get transfered to Totally Free Checking then I will be moving banks.

If its the first inspection, they may check I.D. and the Reg.. But if its a re-inspection they don't usually. I bet the inspector will work with you though. I got the feeling they been trying to help people out more since the wait is so long. The inspectors that is, not the C&C..

I'm not sure...at 1st they said between $85-$115. The caster was way off and he said for another +$25 they'd get it straight. Hopefully it wasn't just BS but even if it was, the truck rides true and is waaaaay better than before. Still satisfied.

I know sometimes doing an alignment on a lifted truck can be difficult because of all of the different components. Can take a few hours extra just to get everything in the green. You adjust the camber, it messes with the caster, fix the caster and your camber is off again. Its a dance..

When I had mine done, they had rates for cars & trucks, and rates for lifted/lowered cars & trucks.

Yea, he did mention that it was $80/hr extra if they had to do any adjustment outside of the norm. When I did my lift, I marked everything at stock settings and set my LR UCA's to 0, as recommended by SPC. I guess he didn't have to do anything extra for my truck.

Stock vehicles are way cheaper, but I've been going there ever since my first lowered vehicle and never been disappointed. This is my first lift and it wasn't as bad as I thought. Scotty usually gives his opinions on things, which is always helpful.

BTW, passed recon last Friday and I want to thank all of you for your inputs.

I highly doubt it. In order for projectors to be legal, they have to be self-adjusting so that they don't blind oncoming traffic due to their increased brightness. Basically, if your vehicle didn't come with it, you're simply out of luck. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

If you don't list it on the sheet, you might be able to slip through recon with retros, cause they hardly look at the truck, especially if it's a mild build like most of ours. but safety will probably catch it since they actually are supposed to check the headlights and beam.

Passed Recon Friday. 1" body, 2" coilover plus 4" drop bracket, custom leafs in the back. 33x12.5 on 15x8's. Used garden edging for fender flares. Rubber sheet from Grainger to make my mud flaps. My main concern was my clearanced front bumper. Years ago (when I was lower) I chopped off the lower valence and moved the stock turn signals that were there up to the chrome(cut a hole). The actual metal bumper that was behind the valence in the middle is still there. Inspector didn't say anything about it, just measured the height. I also chopped off a foot of my exhaust pipe because it was hitting my leaf pack. It's not really a downturn. Not mentioned. Paper work says "Exhaust: Aftermarket"

As mentioned upthread, you only need mudflaps for the back. Another customer at Scotty's told me the person who answers the phone at recon told him he needed them on the front. The people who answer the phone don't know :censored:. All that matters is the inspector, and probably which one and how they are feeling at the time.

Afterwards had a pretty lenient safety inspection in Kapahulu. Finally legal after 10+ yrs.

Thanks for all the helpful comments in this thread!

And no thanks to the off road shop in waipahu(you know who) for telling me they couldn't do my alignment because I needed new lower ball joints. I nor Scotty saw any play in them. Like xmods said, everybody is out to get our money.

Congrats! And you can chop the tailpipe as long as it's past the last operating window.

Bad news. The AG's office denied the liability waiver for Reconstructed vehicles.

Good news is that the AG's office doesn't like the writing in the current law and is writing an amendment that will eliminate design requirements and change a few other items to make the law more reasonable. Once the amendment is written up, it will be submitted for a public hearing where we can write in testimony or show in person for testimony. If approved, the amendment will go to the Director of Motor Vehicle Safety to be approved.

I will be keeping up with this since I am the example being used for the change in law. We will need support from all motor vehicle enthusiasts when the public hearing is scheduled.
