shit 20 mins lucky...appt was at 8...didnt get inspection till 8:30, and almost failed..ive taken 2 trucks and passed easy...took my scion with 15k miles on it with new drop springs and they said was too stiff, and to drive it around a bit till they break in....I laughed and said so im gonna risk getting recon tickets to "break" in my suspension so it gets soft enough to pass...his supervisor came out n passed me

also as of this month the current DOT statement regarding stickers on windows. so long you cant see the sticker from the drivers seat looking at each window then its passable. if you can see it then you have to scrap it off

Yeah it's for everybody. They told me too many people with cars complained that it was stupid to let a truck have a sticker but not a car, so now trucks can't have stickers either.

That's still not a valid reason. Trucks don't have the same window tint requirements as cars, which is the root issue with stickers.

That's what I said when they told me to peel my sticker, but I guess the inspector has the final word. That's the thing, you can't pass RECON unless the inspector deems you worthy, reguardless of what the actual law says. If you tell them that what they said is not in accordance with the regulations for trucks/vans, then they will tell you that you're not getting your sticker afterall..

The problem is you can have a van or truck that the window is not there or is completely blocked by some kind of box or bed. That is why they have to have an exception, it's just people being bitches.
