^^^ This is probably your best bet even though my guess would be no. They didn't look inside my cab at all.

I never had them check at recon but for safety check it can’t be on and anything that can fail you for a safety can fail you at recon.

I had to, but again, it’s always different for everyone. LOL. Give the office a call to make sure.

I didn’t when I updated the recon on my Infiniti but I was only updating for a change in tire size. I’ll assume that if you don’t change anything suspension wise that they wouldn’t ask you for an updated alignment BUT recon is recon and they play by their own rules. I’m going in to update my recon for the Taco next month before my safety is due to get done. I’m only changing tire size again so let’s see how it works out for me. Lol

As an update, I went to redo my recon for the 35s, didn't need to have a new alignment sheet. He briefly went through everything and remeasured bumper heights and I was on my way.

Yeah, the alignment is only for initial I believe. When I went for my front bumper for a re-inspect, he thanked me for bringing it in and couldn’t get me out fast enough.

Different strokes for different folks. I had a green alignment sheet, just in case, and they asked me for everything. It was like starting all over again.

One of the guys even made up his own interpretation of the exhaust end “exiting the vehicle” saying that the tip had to be out from under the vehicle.

I even had to bend my front license plate perpendicular to the ground since my front plate bumper has it at an angle.

Edit: my exhaust tip dumps past the rear axle.

I TOTALLY agree that they make up shit as they go along. I had a bit of a beef with them when I took my Infiniti down there and told me that he couldn’t push my front down so there wasn’t enough suspension travel so I told him get in cause I’ll take you for a drive around the block cause it rides smoother than it did stock. He told me he couldn’t go. I said I’ll put my stock struts back on and I’ll bet him he won’t be able to push the front down 2 inches and he told me that if I put stock struts back on then I won’t need to go to recon. That asshole. Lol.
Anyway, my truck has the exhaust stopping right before the rear axle and he didn’t say anything about it. Go figure.
Did you update anything on your suspension? Figure that’s be a reason for him to check alignment again?

I did have some significant changes...went up to 35’s, added aftermarket fender flares, and added rear armor bumper.

    Hence why I added Bushwackers.

They actually had no problem with it. In fact, they didn’t even say to put it on the paperwork. But I added it to be safe, and potentially avoid any tickets.

I was a little concerned at first that they wouldn’t pass me with my 17” Ray10’s poking out as much as they do but the lady didn’t say a word about it. Still considering Bushwackers just because I like them, plus they’ll help keep the sides cleaner.

Is there a difference as far as fender coverage between 2nd and 3rd gens? But then again... running 35x12.50‘s makes this a moot point.

Yota - I've been working on an 88 Jeep YJ with a recon sticker...but jo papers from the guy I bought it from. I took it down for the state inspection hopi g just havi g the sticker was good, but they asked me for my recon papers. It passed state but won't get my sticker until I have papers.

My question is whether they'll reprint or do I need a full recon inspection. Prob need to start from scratch I'm guessing.

Good info on this thread tho - so thanks to all for sharing
