My tires look almost identical to that and I failed. You could chance it and hope you get the right inspector that will still pass you.

What mudflaps are those? They look like they cover more of the tire tread than the stockers do.

What tire size/rim size setup? Nice Wildpeaks (I run the same tire - couldn't beat the price and free shipping to Hawaii).

What is the width and backspacing on them? Looks like 16x8's and 4.5 BS since the profile looks so close to mine even though I have a 17"

    Those weathertechs look good.

If you guys don’t mind me asking. How much do you pay for registration? Deciding if I want to get Hawaii plates or stay California..

That actually looks like it should pass.. The tread that actually contacts the ground looks covered. Not sure about the mud flaps.. Technically they "should" cover the whole width of the tire.

If your tires look exactly like his do, then I do say you should have passed.

I seriously think that'll pass. I'd give it a shot before doing any unnecessary mods, because if you have flares listed on the inspection, you will always have to have them on the truck.

Here’s what mine look like. Maybe you could argue the flaps, but I still think it’s ridiculous and their consistency is not there between the inspectors. I’m pretty sure he passed me the first time with the 265/65s and then again with the 255/75s.

Not sure about active duty military, but for us National Guard folks it's like $75... mines anyway. But we have to turn in our exemption paperwork which we get from our admin personnel every year and take it in. Wish could pay online, but whatevers can't complain.

I agree should've passed, but with those inspectors you never know. I used Rokblok mudflaps and flushed them way out to the width of my tires and I'm good there even with 285/75/17s... they run wider than some of the other brands.

I feel like they would make me take each one off individually to check. Well, maybe just a specific inspector haha.

Yup those are the ones I've got, but directly from the site since I wanted plain black only and no logo. Mounting holes are kinda oval so I have some play on flushing them way out. By years end I should be on 35s, so I'll see how they work out for me then.

I went recently, inspector was pretty chill but he did tag me on my tires sticking out and blue headlight bulbs. Was around 9:15, told me if I could get it done by 10:30, he’d inspect it before they went on lunch.

Went up the road to city mill, bought garden liners and screwed them on in the parking lot, then went to Napa and got stock bulbs.

Overall, not really a big deal, happy could get it done in one day.

Did you use the existing screws that attach the stock flare to the truck or did you drill the garden edging into the existing flare with new screws?
