I'm throwing the rehearsal dinner for my wedding soon. Somehow my idea of throwing a beach party has turned into a full blown Hawaiian luau.Which is great, but I don't have a lot of experience with Hawaiian food. Anybody know some good recipes I could use? I'm planning on doing most of the cooking on the grill

    Thanks in advance.

    awesome guys thanks.

I talked to a friend of mine and he's helping me make huli huli chicken and kahlua pork for the main dishes.

My whole plan goes like this"

grilled shrimp on skewers and homemade veggi platters as appetizers while people are showing up.

watermelon slices with mint and water crest ( served in watermelons cut to look like whales)

Main courses of huli huli chicken and kahlua pork, with macaroni salad, grilled corn, and rice for side dishes. (i'm also making some tropical themed hamburgers at the request of some of my family members.

Dessert will be made up of some pot luck cakes and the like from family members, but I know there will be at least one pineapple upside down cake, a sheet cake, and a cheesecake.

Oh, and I'm making signature drinks too. Rum punch and an iced margarita.
