So I'm thinking of upgrading to synthetic rope on my M8000 on arb deluxe bumper (2005). Now I don't know too much on fairleads, but are they universal? If not does anyone know of one that will fit my arb? Thanks!

The 10" center-center bolt mounting pattern is pretty much the standard for mid-frame winches like the M8000.

FYI, I just bought an aluminum fairlead and 3/8 x 85' synthetic rope for $160 CAD shipped incl taxes from Runva Winch in Ontario, Canada. They have a website by by the same name (runvacanada dot com) and sell on Ebay as well. They were about 1/2 the price of anywhere else I found the equivalent, and its not by selling an inferior product.

A small handful of select mods.
    Check this one out:

    http://www.customsplice.com/ARB-offset-Hawse-Fairlead.html

I worked with this company to not only create a perfect offset for the ARB bumper but also this fairlead is 1.5"s thick so it helps to get the syn line away from the sides of the bumper recess further. This way if you need to make an angle pull you can up to 43 degrees before the line touches the side of the recess. Certainly not a type of pull you want to have to do but definitely a nice thing to have.
